Having intimacy relationship with God. Psalm 63:1

Psalm 63:1
“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”

There was a season in my life when I enjoyed a close, intimate relationship with God. I longed to know Him more, to understand His attributes, and to live according to His Word. Every day, I read the Bible and made sure to practice what I learned. Prayer was not something I rushed through; it was my delight. I would linger in God’s presence, listening for His voice, and each day I desired more time with Him. As I read Matthew 6:25–28, I was reminded not to worry. Watching the birds of the air eat leftover food, I knew that God provides. Seeing the beauty of flowers reminded me of His goodness and care.

In my house, I placed many Bible verses on the wall. I believed every word and trusted Him deeply. I didn’t come to God because I needed something from Him—I came because I loved Him and longed to walk closely with Him. Like the psalmist, I could say: “I have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. "That is the kind of relationship I want to continually have with God. I desire to obey His commandments and serve Him for the rest of my life. Although I have stumbled and fallen into sin many times, His love for me remains unexplainable.

Even when I fail, He covers me with His mercy. His grace washes away my sin and clothes me again in righteousness. Where else can I find a God like this? A God who never changes, who is faithful to keep His promises? His love always draws me back. Truly, God is good all the time. I pray that you, too, may experience this intimate relationship with Him—because once you do, you will never be the same.
