God, Why Is This Happening to Me?

When You Don’t Understand Why — Trust Anyway “We don’t know everything, and our prophecies are not complete... Now all we can see of God is like a cloudy picture in a mirror. Later we will see him face to face.” — 1 Corinthians 13:9, 12 (CEV) In the middle of deep suffering, Job asked a question many of us have asked in our darkest hours: “Why let people go on living in misery? Why give light to those in grief?” — Job 3:20 (GNT) The "why" question is part of being human. We ask it instinctively: Why did they leave me? Why did this happen to me? Why did I lose everything? Why did she die? We often believe that if we understood the reason, it would somehow ease our pain. But the truth is: You don’t need an explanation — you need strength. You don’t need an explanation — you need a Savior. You don’t need an explanation — you need comfort and presence. Sometimes, There Are No Answers — Yet I’ve studied the “why” question for years. Here’s the most honest answer I can give: “I don’t know.” And I may never know — because I’m not God. Neither are you. We will not understand some things until we get to heaven, when God will show us the full picture. Only then will we be able to say, “So that’s why You allowed that.” God Reveals — and God Conceals “It is God’s privilege to conceal things.” — Proverbs 25:2 (NLT) God reveals Himself through creation, Scripture, and the Holy Spirit. But He also conceals things so that we learn to walk by faith, not by sight or feelings. He doesn’t owe us explanations. He doesn’t consult us before allowing trials. He is God, and He calls us to trust Him when nothing makes sense. 🕊️ One Day It Will All Make Sense “Now all we can see of God is like a cloudy picture in a mirror... Later we will see him face to face.” — 1 Corinthians 13:12 One day, God will make all things clear. But until that day, we must hold on to Him — not answers.
